Watermellon Pink with butter yellow, a wonderful combination of texture and colour. Inspired by the hair, clothing, politics of women in the 1950's. This painting is part of a series that incorporated segments of a vintage magazine that I found at a local antique market. I was instantly inspired to create and have fun with colour, words and notions of women of that decade. I collage with recycled dictionaries, old maps, my own photographs, rice paper, reclaimed magazines, acrylic paint, pastel, marker, pencil crayon, and gel medium. Ready- to -hang with sturdy d-ring hangers on the back. I have been a professional artist in Canada for over 10 years, participating in numerous solo and group art shows. All of my art is sealed with Liquitex varnish for longevity. Size 10x10 inches, Depth 2 inches.
